Medical transcriptionist positions open
I received this email from Lorraine McGuire from InScribe on 5/20/2013. This is proof that there is still demand for us medical transcriptionists.
I received notification of open positions from this employer on 2/18/2013:
This is what I am looking for:
I need two dependable people with at least 3 years of experience doing all types of hospital reports, H&Ps, Consults, OP notes, and DSs. Must be comfortable with and productive with speech recognition. Hours are every weekend, must be willing to cover at least one 12-hour continuous time frame between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday or Sunday and must be willing to take the uncovered 4 hours on the opposite weekend day. Varying weekday evenings p.r.n. will be available as well.
Must have own equipment. Experience working with Dictaphone Turbo over a VPN a plus.
Platform requires high speed internet, computer with Windows XP Pro and Word 2003. Computer must have a fast processor and a good amount of memory (hospital IT can pass along particulars). Hospital IT sets up the connections.
Pay is 8 CPL for traditional transcription, and 6 CPL for speech rec. They do have a few docs who do not use the speech rec product, but not many.
If you know of anyone who meets the above, please let them know of my opening. I do not hire newbies and I will give a transcription test to anyone who contacts me to verify their skill level.
